[The abruptness of her question makes him wonder why she asks. From the reactions they've garnered so far,
it seems obvious. Asher knows that he isn't particularly subtle when it comes to his emotions, and he and Jin have been oddly close for months now. Then again, not everyone on this team is nosy or attentive in that way.

Still, there's a mixture of emotions in his gut, both excitement and fear as well. It's just Sonia, however- She will most likely react in a positive way.]

He had previously thought that his relationships with men could purely be limited to friendship, although it's clear that he was wrong.]

[ She hasn't really had to consider the same kind of things on her end. Even at home, everything had definitely been in place before everything happened. Nanami, Akane, Hiyoko and the others were just classmates. Friends. It was still a loose term at the time, still trying to actually grow as they were.

One thing she's had to consider more recently is her relationship with Gundham, how far her admiration spread while she had been home. It's all complicated, so even if Asher is talking about how weird it has been for him, it's lighter than having to think about any of that when she doesn't feel as though she can talk about any of this yet. ]

Being cool and confident is not everything. I would say that your awareness of others and how hard you try to help are more outstanding qualities, actually.

[To be fair, he hadn't given Sonia all that much regard either before the Woodhurst- She seemed nice and they were friends! But there was something about her kindness that seemed cordial at best. Her words have a strange effect on him; they make him so happy he almost can't believe it.]

Either way, Sieglinde is the one who found the cure. I was the first person she administered with it, after all by that point I was unconscious in a medically induced coma. I will not deny that I helped, just that I did not find the cure myself.

I apologise. I forgot you were not around when it happened, though it was not a secret that I had to be put under. The virus' symptoms increased quite rapidly for me, I did not have much of a choice.
