It is true. Asher had called me, upon your request. But he was the one who had brought you here.
[And in this moment, Zenyatta turns his head to glance at Asher.]
It must have been harrowing, to make that journey. I have not yet had a chance to thank you for that, but thank you, Asher. I am glad that I arrived in time, and that no lasting damage has happened.
As for you-
[And back to Jin.]
You will still need to rest. You may soon feel well enough to stand, but I assure you, you are not.
[He can't have another student rushing out there to confront Koltira again...]
Right... right. It'd made sense to Jin at the time, for God knows what reason-- knowing full well that Asher could've gotten hurt, or worse, he'd still called. He could've been killed. Jin digests that troubling realization a little, as the healing orb continues its effects. At least the pain's fading away.]
Starting to figure that out, yeah. [Jin mutters, resigned.
He's gotten into worse scrapes. Surely, he's been closer to death than this. But for some reason, this feels worse. Jin squeezes his eyes tight, banishing the thoughts.]
Thank you. Both of you. [ ... ] And he's gone, I'm assuming?
[Kind words of encouragement, no matter how few and far between, always manage to make Asher feel a little better. Zenyatta's gentleness is palpable, unlike his father's cold words and Annalise's constant dissatisfaction. For the first time in a long while, he doesn't feel like a disappointment.
Shit.
How long has it been?]
Yeah.
For now.
[Asher focuses his attention on the family, some of whom are whispering in hushed tongues. He can't blame them for being afraid, as the notion of magic being real... It disturbs him, too.]
Thank you.
[The words are accompanied by a slight tilt of the head, precisely in their direction.]
[Zenyatta simply nods at the question if Koltira is gone. Speaking to the other...
Is something he will have to do. Not a thing to worry about now, thought.]
Do both of you require assistance in returning to the Inn?
[If they have their own ride, fine. He just figured they wouldn't want to impose on the Qorral family much longer. Not that they seem to mind too terribly.]
[Please take care of yourself, so that you may take care of others in turn.
oh goddamn it zenyatta stop giving him advice he has to listen to]
I-- I mean, yeah, [Jin corrects himself, looking anxiously between both of his friends standing over him. He's fairly certain Asher didn't bring a horse, and the prospect of walking all the way back in his state doesn't sound promising, no matter how mortified he's going to be about having to be chauffeured over.]
[Walking all the way here was stupid, probably. Asher knows that now.
He too had let himself be guided by his emotions, and ran this far fraught with worry and half-panic. Unlike Jin, he hasn't suffered several blows to the head, and can be trusted to make somewhat more rational decisions.]
Jin's not in any place to argue, so he swings his legs over the edge of the bed, standing carefully-- his legs don't give when his weight's on them, which he appreciates, seeing as this whole evening's been pretty damn mortifying already to say the least.
He can walk to a robot horse. Just pay attention to that, Jin...]
You got it. [he doesn't sound especially excited. He's ready for the night to be over too.]

That'd be dope, yo.
[Asher hovers a little closer to his friend.]
I'm ready to be done with this shit, honestly.
[He's had enough for one night.]
we can probably end this soon?
[He's quietly amused that Jin changes his mind so quickly, and nods towards Asher.]
Please help me bring Jin to Lasso. ...I assume "dope" in this context means "cool," yes?

[Asher hovers close to Jin, eyeing Zenyatta with gratitude. If it weren't for him, Jin might have not made it through the night.
He touches his friend's shoulder gently, leaning over to speak to him in an almost whisper.]
Hey, if you don't wanna head back to wherever it was that you were staying...
You can crash with me tonight.
[The closeness will do them both some good.]
